Thornton Steel was founded in 1946 to serve the growing needs of the steel fabrication business in North Central Texas. Since that time, our Company has continued to evolve and to furnish quality structural and miscellaneous steel for numerous projects across the nation. In 2026, we proudly celebrate our 80th anniversary, marking eight decades of dedication to quality, service, and innovation in the steel industry.

Over the years, we have fabricated structural and miscellaneous steel for the construction of both commercial and industrial buildings and numerous institutional facilities. This is our core of operations, and it continues to be our focus.

Our highly qualified staff is very sensitive to our customer’s needs, especially the critical scheduling requirements for a project and the timely delivery of materials to the jobsite when needed. Our expertise allows us to work efficiently with both contractors and owners. In many cases, we are asked to assist in the design of projects or make “value engineering design” recommendations on larger projects in an effort to save time and lower costs.
